37 Ways to Make Money “As a Stay at Home Mom”

All Right, all you stay at home mothers it’s time to make some money!!

Do you every ask yourself, how can I contribute to the world or maybe your own household?

Here is a list of 37 businesses ideas you can start from the comfort of your own home.

First things first, set your schedule. See when throughout the day you could dedicate some time to your new business. Do the kids have nap time? Study time ect. (I realize that for some this could be totally impossible) For now I’m talking about brainstorming and making some calls. Lord knows, you probably have called or received calls from your mother. For some of my clients they have a reason even more to get up early. Some get up at least an hour before sending their husband to work.

37 WAYS TO MAKE MONEY “AS A STAY AT HOME MOM”

1. INTERIOR DESIGN- Do you have great design, do you get complements about your own house?

2. LANDSCAPE COMPANY- Landscape design is all the new buzz, and even some towns they have “organic garden consultants”

3. DAYCARE- You can always add more kids and sometimes charge depending on the area 25-40 a day per kid. (Check with local rules and guidelines before this venture)

4. SHOPPER- Some organizations will hire just to do mysterious shops to check on customer service, sales process ect. Start your own for small businesses in area.

5. TRAVEL AGENT- All you need is an Internet and a phone line. You can bukd a basic website, some business cards and hand them out. After you get a couple of vacations booked, then vendors will start sending you more offers.

6. BECOME A MAKE-UP SPECIALIST

7. JOIN A NETWORK MARKETING COMPANY- Avon, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, Silpada – Set your parties up during the day for the evening! If your serious about this check out this

8. START A DIRECT MAIL COMPANY- Catalogs that you send via the mail. Find products to sell at wholesale or invent your own.

9. OUTSOURCE SECRETARY – You can prepare drafts for executives, help out with emails & correspondence, with technology you can have phones forwarded directly to computer

11. DINNER CATERING SPECIALIST- Only if you have time, or maybe your kids are older, but you could prepare meals for busy people and drop them off.

12. PERSONAL SHOPPER- If you know your clients sizes and they like your style – you could get paid to shop

17. WRITING EXPERT- Are you an expert in this arena? Many students, and businesses need help with proof-reading

21. BECOME A MOBILE BARTENDER- Every party needs a Bartender- buy the basics and advertise as doing parties only. You can always negotiate a base pay plus amount of sales.

22. START AN EVENT PLANNING BUSINESS- If you know the ins and outs of planing a big event then this is for you.

23. WEDDING CONSULTANT- You get to spend their money, and have fun while you do it. Nail one good client and they will refer business to you. (Trust Me)

24. COUPON CLUB- You could have some type of membership fee and they come to you for all the coupons. You just collect them (a lot of them are online anymore)

25. RESEARCH, BIRD DOG- A Bird Dog is someone who goes out and researches something for the needy or someone who has no time. I did this when I first started Real Estate, I searched for good rental houses to buy and they paid me per lead. You could pack the kids in the car on the way to the gym and make money.

26. START A RADIO SHOW- With the Internet today you can have a studio in your basement.

27. SALESWOMEN- I hear so much on salesmen this and salesmen that, Start your own outsource Saleswomen Force!

28. AFTERSCHOOL TUTOR- A huge need in every county across America

29. START A BLOG OR WEBSITE- If we did it, you can do it

30. PHOTOGRAPHY- If photography is your thing the sky is the limit. Check this site OUT!

31. BALANCE BUSINESSES BOOK- If you can balance a checkbook, many businesses could use your help.

32. AFTER SCHOOL ART PROGRAM- This could turn into classes, and maybe even your own school. 1 step at  a time

33. BECOME A REAL ESTATE AGENT- Many folks are jumping out of this business, and as my mentor told me before (always a good time to get in)

34. START A CALENDAR- Start with local folks, farmers, businessmen, police men, firefighters- You don’t have to make it like they do on TV people will buy and talk about it throughout the local paper and maybe news. I would dedicate a percentage of sales to a local cause. Boom your in business!

35. SCRAPBOOKING BUSINESS- Again, I would take a different approach- do a membership based- small fee, and you can have classes and even give them so much free stuff for their books. You are  buying in bulk so weigh the numbers.

36. INFOPRENEUR- An entrepreneur that sells only “Information”

37. SELL JEWELRY, BELTS ECT- Create your own product and start selling.

Any of these listed above, can and will make you money. It will take some dedication but start small- one step at a time. Make three calls a day for your new venture.

Again, I realize that “time is of the essence” but if you want it to succeed then it will. Doors will open! I’m leaving you with a quote because I give all my respect to mothers out there, and this quote shows that time is limited.

Business should at first be busy but then you can put some avenues on autopilot.
