Dirty Jokes for $1.00, I Need Beer!

How much money do you want?  How much do you want the lifestyle you have always dreamed of?  What are you willing to do to get what you want?

I was sitting at a little bar on Duval Street in Key West last week, when I noticed a crowd gathering around some homeless looking guy.  I sat at that bar for about two hours and watched one group of people leave, and another group come.  After my curiosity finally got the better of me, I stumbled out of my bar stool,  and limped over to the guy to see what was so special about him.  He had on no shirt, and he had a joker hat on with a cardboard sign that said; “Dirty Jokes $1.00, I Need Beer”.  So I did what any other responsible human being would do…..I dipped in my pocket, found a dollar, and said; lets hear one.  He told me a joke, and I laughed until my stomach hurt.  After I spent about twenty bucks on dirty jokes, and called all of my friends so he could tell them jokes, I stumbled back to my bar stool and just watched him tell joke after joke to the drunken tourists walking down the street.  This made me realize, not everyone wants the big house, and the luxury car parked in the driveway.  This guy is having a blast every night doing what he loves….drinking and telling dirty jokes.  He is not embarrassed about his appearance, and he is making some pretty good bank.  I watched him make at least $200 in about three hours.  That means if he sits out there every night of the week, he could easily reel in $1400 a week.  The great thing about dirty joke guy, is that he knew what he wanted, and he did it.  He wanted to live in Key West, and he didn’t want to work for anybody, and he was willing to do whatever it took to make that happen.

Now, I am not by any means saying that you should go buy a stool, and sit around and tell dirty jokes for a dollar, but what I am trying to say is that you can really do what ever you want to do.  You just need to figure out what you want first.  So ask yourself, what do you want, and what are you willing to do to get it?
